SP26 3
I’ve been thinking on how to expand or shift my concrete basins. Instead of having a pedestal structure, I want to try out a shallow, pond-like structure. However, in terms of transporting, it would have to be in sections. But my issue is that in sections, it would have seams which have to be approached with caution to still be able to hold water.
I looked into liquid membrane, which is often used as a protective coating on balconies, decks, and floors. Granted, most sources are giving information about commercial usage, but there is a liquid membrane called Tremco Vulkem 350/351 that can waterproof concrete surfaces by curing to form a rubber membrane surface. Theoretically, I should be able to have sections with edges that are able to mechanically join, put fiber mesh tape in the seam, then put coats of liquid membrane inside the seam until it is level with the concrete. I’m going to try a mockette and see if it works :D
