Artist Statement
I have common themes of bilingualism, culture (code) switching, and lost language. I create to come to terms with every conversation my mother and I lose to a language barrier, to cultural disconnect, and to discomfort. Producing variables of each idea and trying different things is important as I explore. By repeating forms with variation, I can capture the instability of my memory, language, and identity.
