Wood firing loading this weekend!!! This is my first time working with grogless clay (the high fire red clay Hailey and I made) and it’s been exciting to pick up on differences. (It trims SO BEAUTIFULLY!) Every little trim flew off in the cutest little ribbons! It was definitely more difficult to center and in my opinion was way more dramatic to every imbalanced movement. But like I said, trimming with it was so worth it.
I have a couple cups in that clay that I’m keeping in greenware stage to do some surface designs on :> I was thinking of trying out Caitlin’s process (that she got from last ICC) of tracing a paper sketch onto greenware!
I bisqued my sauce bowls and glazed a couple bowls and small mugs with Malcom Shino on the inside. I'm super duper excited to see how those turn out.
