I would not be surprised if Tinkercad is tired of me. My poor tablet has crashed several times designing these mooncake press molds. I thought about having a second stamp with mooncake designs but I think process wise, it makes sense to keep it as just one stamp. This flower design is one I made in Tinkercad, and I’m a little nervous the details might be too small to print clearly, but I’ll have to see once I attempt it.

I’d also like to make a circular mooncake press mold so I can have both square and round versions—square representing Earth and round representing the moon. Traditionally, I’ve noticed many rabbit and moon symbols or geometric line work on mooncakes, but the flower design was a lot easier to navigate on Tinkercad. If this design prints well, I’d love to create more designs but I am anticipating some struggles since the print is on the smaller size.

I’m really excited for these to function almost like mini worry stones while also holding a connection to my culture. The final pieces should be ready in time for Mid-Autumn Festival, when mooncakes are traditionally shared with loved ones, making the timing feel even more meaningful.
