There were issues with the walls of the letter cookie cutter prints being too thick to cut clay slabs. However, it’s been proven difficult to still cut through clay with thin walled prints. Brian came up with the idea of maybe using oil to lubricate the clay cutter before cutting clay so that it can easily come off. I’ve continued tinkering all my letters into the size that I want, and adjusting to make the walls thinner.
Tinkering has gotten easier! I think fighting through this battle will be worth it, so I’m not cutting individual letters again. The amount of time put into tinkercad felt like a setback, but I’m feeling hopeful that getting my exact Vietnamese letter prints will be worthwhile.
