Cookiecad was a really cool software, but Tinkercad worked the best since they have a text option where I can 3D build a design based off of text. I have the walls of each letter in the Vietnamese alphabet, but before I finish the designs from just wall outlines into clay cutters, I need to fix some letters. For example, letters like V, M, and B have intersecting lines, so I cannot create the desired space needed with the hole tool. I’m not exactly sure how to fix it, but I think the issue lies within how text is coded into Tinkercad. I tried to use the already existing letters, but I could not change the bevels like the process I chose which was using the text tool, typing in a letter, setting it to 1.5 bevel, and copy pasting an identical version but adjusting to .5 bevel, hole, and slightly taller so the hole would ensure carving out the solid piece.
I also trimmed some small bowl plates and ramen bowls for the upcoming Hermatige farms market in October! I still have three small cylinders that could become espresso mugs, but I have no idea how to make a handle. I talked to others and I’m wondering if someone would be down to collab on the mugs to donate to dirtbags.
