I checked out different tutorials online to look into 3D printing softwares for the letter clay cutters. I found that many have used Cookiecad with ease. My thoughts are to either handwrite the Vietnamese alphabet in procreate or find an existing alphabet online to upload into Cookiecad. A part of me feels inclined to hand write a font to put myself into the same position as Vietnamese young children, who have to learn how to write in a neat cursive. I had a conversation with my cousin, and he told me that after elementary years, all his classmates were permitted to only use ink pen. So any mark making on exams, assignments, etc. were all permanent. If there were any mistakes, you’d just be left with lots of scratches.
I cleaned out my concrete basin to prepare for upcoming recordings, and completely forgot that I had carved into the basin. So, underneath where the clay phrase would slake, there is a permanent plea that’s covered by clay until the entire message is cleaned out.
I also visited the Gear Lab and talked to a very nice person who explained how to use a DSLR camera, and potential audio recording equipment. My goal after this week is to use an Apple Pencil and explore creating in 2D in procreate then transfer the design as a STL file into a 3D printing software. I’d really like to get onto printing those clay cutters.
