I finally printed all the letters I wanted! I didn’t take any pictures of the letters all together, but I finally have a collection. Earlier this week, I tested how to cleanly cut through clay and tested using both water and goldart. They didn’t work very well with a fresh slab. But turns out, after a half hour of drying out a bit, it cuts through fairly easily with the help of a rounded pushing tool. Caitlin lent me a very nice brush with a soft rounded tip that did the work very well. Because I’m pushing it out, I don’t need to mirror the letters when editing and printing (I forgot to mirror on Tinkercad but it works out anyway.) Kind of? I wish there was a way to easily take it out without leaving push marks because using the back means having the canvas/surface texture imprinted onto the letters.

I also threw two bowls for the upcoming Hermitage farms market, to ensure I have enough pieces to donate. I made sure to wrap them nicely before leaving for the Indiana Clay Conference. Currently in town for the conference, and I’m excited for next week. Am looking forward to getting back in the studio and creating.

Sarah and I played my all time favorite, bananagrams. Mine is on the left and hers is near the bottom right. Look at her go!! Locomotives. Awesome!!
